In one of the worst kept secrets and the least surprising news ever - Buffalo James has officially closed its doors.
While it’s been an epic two years and we have truly built an awesome community here in Victor Harbor, I’ve been pretty open about where things have been at in my life and just can’t continue on running my own business. Amazing changes in life and priorities and responsibilities have come my way and so I have made the tough decision to close the doors.
A huge thank you to my friends and regulars who would shop with us and encourage me. To the other local business owners who encouraged me to do this in the first place - especially Adrian and Sonja at who let us do a pop up to test the waters. To Jarrad and the team for May the 4th and Screamtoberfest and the first Halloween the town has ever seen. To and for reppin’ the Buffalo. To the team for the good times last year. And to and for being kindred spirits. But mostly to my wonderful wife Emily, our sadly departed shop-dog Eve and our new best little friend Eli for letting me follow my dream and be MIA so many evenings and weekends.
It’s not all sad news tho - we are pleased to announce that the amazing team at will be taking over the space - and will even have a collection of Buffalo-esque vintage apparel and trinkets on offer for those of you who miss us. And who knows maybe we will come back some day in another form. But for now, it’s time to actually enjoy a summer and this beautiful place we get to call home.
