After 26 wonderful years, it’s time for us to say goodbye to our physical store at 2nd Edition Wallsend 🩷
From its beginnings with Lorraine Hanbury and the late Margaret Walker who lovingly ran the shop for 21 years, and through to the past 5 years under my ownership, this little op shop has been so much more than just a store — it’s been a community.
We are incredibly grateful to every single customer who has walked through our doors, supported us, donated, browsed, and come back time and time again. Your support has meant everything to us over the years and we cherish the friendships we have made along the way.
After a lot of careful thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our physical storefront. While this chapter is ending, the journey isn’t over — you can still find us at the Islington Markets on the last Sunday of every month, as well as online through our website and social media.
A heartfelt thank you also to our beautiful staff - Amanda, Cheryl and Brenda. Your dedication, kindness and hard work have been such a big part of what made this shop so special. We are so grateful for everything you’ve done.
I also want to take a moment to personally thank Margaret and Lorraine. Thank you for trusting me with the opportunity to carry on your legacy, for your guidance, and for being such incredible mentors. It truly meant the world to me to live out my dream of running this op shop because of you both. I will be forever grateful.
