I’ve tried and tried to reignite my passion and love for flluskë over the past few years, but life has kept leading me in other directions. Who knows… maybe one day in the future, I’ll reopen again? But I just can’t seem to get back into it like I once was. 😔

This little business has been one of the most beautiful chapters of my life, filled with healing, connection, and creativity.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported me along the way. You’ve been part of something so special. I’ll always hold so much gratitude for every order, message, the money raised for my fundraising earrings and every moment of support. Thank you for walking this journey with me.

• TEACHER GIFTS •

I was busy in the studio yesterday, designing new gift boxes for my flluskë Gift Box range. This term is flying by, and the school year will be over before you know it. In fact, it’s nearly over for Year 12 students - how scary is that?! And Grade 6 students will be leaving primary school to start transitioning to high school. So many changes!

I’ve revamped the old favourites, but have added a beautiful new range to the teacher collection. If you don’t know what to get that special teacher in your child’s life, then check out what we have in store.

The evolution of flluskë 🌱

I came across my collection of earring tags inside a tub of bits n pieces when I was unpacking some boxes from moving house recently. It got me thinking back to when flluskë first started.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
flluskë was first created in 2016 on my kitchen table, making batches of 10 to 15 earrings at a time, for myself. After a month or so, I started taking orders from family & friends and had to shift my work materials into a corner of my bedroom, as there wasn’t any space to eat dinner! 😆
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I made earrings at night, while I worked full time during the day. After 12 months of selling on Facebook, I took the plunge and decided I needed a website - what a game changer that was!! (Thank you The Mud Room Design Studio ) I began selling overseas and all over Australia, coming into contact with the most amazing people with incredible stories to share.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I could barely keep up with the demand of orders, so I took a leap of faith & quit my job, focusing solely on flluskë. I was able to do this full time for 4 years before Covid kicked in, having a negative impact on my business, then my long term relationship ended. Flluskë took a back seat as I navigated some really difficult times, trying to rediscover myself again and figure out what to do next.

These three earring tags represent so much to me. Although things look a little different for me now, working part time at a secondary college and studying at Uni, flluskë still has a special place in my heart. These earring tags remind me of how far I’ve come since my early days of not accepting my hearing loss. They remind me of all the wonderful connections I’ve made with people I’d never have met otherwise, and the experiences and stories they shared with me along the way. They also remind me that I can push myself out of my comfort zone to do difficult things, even when it’s scary.

For those of you who have been with me since the very beginning- thank you all for your continued support and love! 💕 If you’ve jumped on board recently - thank you! I’m so lucky to have the most incredible flluskë community.

Typically associated with the colour of love and romance, when I need a little boost of self love and care for my day, I always reach for my pink flluskë.

When I look in the mirror and see the colour shining on my ears, it’s a beautiful reminder to be gentle when I have negative thoughts about myself, or am struggling to get through the day.
