On Saturday, I painted the final artworks of my entire earring making career.

After almost 13 years, these were the final colours squeezed onto a palette.

The final brush strokes.

The final paint covered fingers.

And the final artworks that will ever leave my studio.

Those artworks have now become my final By Liv Mystery Boxes.

For hundreds of women, opening a Mystery Box became a monthly ritual.

A little surprise.

A little moment of joy.

A gift they gave themselves - because they DESERVE it!

I cannot show you what is inside these final boxes.

That would ruin the magic.

But I can tell you that every artwork was painted during the final days of By Liv, and they are some of my favourite pieces I have ever created.

💛 THE FINAL BY LIV MYSTERY BOXES 💛

For the past 5 years, the By Liv Mystery Box has been one of my favourite things to create.

What began in 2021 quickly became a monthly ritual for hundreds of women.

Not just earrings.

A moment.

A cup of tea.

A quiet corner.

A surprise package waiting to be opened.

A reminder that you matter too.

This week, I painted the final acrylic artworks of my By Liv journey - especially for my FINAL Mystery Boxes.

The very last artworks I will ever create. And these earrings will never be released online individually.

Some of them are my favourites I’ve ever painted. 🥹

But I can’t show you.

Because that would ruin the surprise.

And the surprise has always been the magic.

Each Final Mystery Box contains a pair of statement dangles and a pair of studs, featuring artwork created during the final days of By Liv.

Today I painted the final acrylic artworks of my entire earring making career 🥹

After almost 13 years of creating earrings, today was the last time I sat down with paint covered fingers and a palette full of colour to create new artwork.

Not the last collection.

Not the last market.

The last artworks.

Ever.

These pieces won’t be released as a collection and they won’t appear on the website.

Instead, they’ll be hidden inside the final By Liv Mystery Boxes.

A handful of one of a kind pieces created during the final days of By Liv.

I have no idea how emotional opening those paint tubes for the last time would feel.

Or how hard it would be to wash the final palette (you can see it in my stories!)

But here we are 🥹

If you’ve been around By Liv for a while, you’ll know I’ve never been very good at pretending life is perfectly curated. 😅

That’s exactly how the Unfiltered collection came to life.

Created for the women who are doing their best, holding everything together, occasionally losing the plot, and laughing about it when they can.

The women who know that life can be beautiful and messy at the same time.

Since I released them earlier this year, these earrings have sparked conversations, belly laughs and more than a few “OMG that’s so me” moments.

And now, with less than 11 days until By Liv closes forever, this collection is taking its final bow too 🥹

This week is going to be a little bit (or a lot 😳) emotional 🥹

Over the next few days I’ll be sitting down to create what will be the final hand painted acrylic pieces I ever make for By Liv.

Not for a collection.

Not for a market.

But for the incredible women who receive the final By Liv Mystery Boxes 💛

Choosing colours.

Painting pieces.

Packing surprises.

And knowing that the woman opening the boxes will feel a little bit of magic.

I honestly can’t believe I’m creating the last ones.

A little By Liv story for you 🤗

My original affirmation earrings actually look quite different to these.

When I created my first affirmation design, the affirmations were tiny. And they still are on my original affirmation dangles.

Deliberately tiny.

I didn’t want strangers reading them.

I didn’t want them to feel loud or obvious.

I wanted them to be a quiet reminder for the woman wearing them.

A little reminder that she was capable, worthy, strong and enough.

Then something unexpected happened.

Messages started arriving from customers saying:

“But Liv… I want to be able to read the words.”

🥹

So I created the HerStory collection.

Bigger text.

Bolder designs.

The exact same affirmations.

Just easier to read.

And over the years both collections have become some of the most meaningful pieces I’ve ever created.

Looking back now, I love that they evolved because of you.

Because thousands of women connected with the message and wanted more of it.

With By Liv now in its final few weeks 🥹, both the original affirmation styles and the HerStory designs are still available, although many are now getting very low in stock.

And because they’re a By Liv original design - straight from my heart and mind to you, once they’re gone, they’ll be gone forever.
