Time’s nearly up to dob in your dad for those shonky boots he refuses to get rid of.

You have until 10am this Friday, 4 September.

Add a photo of his boots and your dad’s name to the original post for your chance to win him a prize worth $449.

Has your Dad or father-figure kept a pair of shonky old work boots?

We’re searching for Ballarat’s most shonky pair of work boots, and they could score him a Father’s Day prize package valued at $449. 🥾🏁

Our judging panel will choose one winning dad to receive:
🔸 A $200 Hip Pocket Ballarat credit towards one new pair of work or safety boots
🔸 A RedBalloon V8 Front Seat Hot Laps Ride at Sandown Raceway, including two passenger laps with a professional racing driver, valued at $249

To enter:
🔸 Comment on this original Facebook post with one clear photo of the shonky boots of a dad or father figure in your life
🔸 Include Dad’s first name in your comment
🔸 Keep the exact boots shown for in-store verification
🔸 Open to Australian residents aged 18+ who can bring the entered boots to our Wendouree store for verification.

Boots from any brand are welcome and do not need to have been purchased from Hip Pocket. One entry per person. No purchase required.
Our judges will select the pair showing the greatest visible wear and damage. Likes and reactions will not affect the result. Retired boots are welcome, so please do not keep wearing unsafe footwear to enter.
Entries close at 10 am on Friday 4th September 2026. The provisional winner must bring the boots to either Hip Pocket Ballarat store within seven days of being contacted.
