Heya,
I hope everyone is keeping warm and dry this week. Ive had a teething infant, so much of my week hasn't gone to plan due to her needing extra snuggles, and wanting to scream in .you face all at once. Its a wild ride im sure many can relate to

I thought to share this little video of me preparing for last week's zips class, and then of the participants enjoying it

It was such a good class! It really got our brains begining to think in 3d. About how fabrics can shape into things from being flat, with a stitch here and a zip there we had a 3D triangle pouch, along with a simple case

Im currently working on the next classes for in Milton which will be in July and August, and I already have the Cambewarra/Nowra ones online and ready to join

The uptake for the Nowra ones has been slower... which i find interesting compared to how engaged everyone down in Milton has been. These Nowra ones will definatly go ahead, but they also need to fill up some more for me to continue to plan Nowra ones... so if your planning to come to them please book on or atleast let me know so I know how much additional promotion I need to look at doing

Im also days away from launching a winter micro wedding package, so if your looking to get married in these cooler months I may have just the thing for you!

So... what's this all about?!

Having sold out of 4 of the Milton sewing classes, my focus turned to trying to find a new location 'up here' so that people more local to Nowra can get in on the sewing action without the drive

So, i'm now really excited to be offering classes at the Cambewarra School of Arts! They have been just as amazing as the CWA in Milton to work with so far - which is honestly a joy.

These venues are really filling my heart with hope when it comes to the support they have for me as a small buisness and for you all as community. They really want to see their spaces being utilised and knowlage being shared

So... what have I planned?

Ive got 3 classes repeating that have been running in Milton :
1. Introduction to Sewing machines
2. Introduction to overlockers
3. Making a zip pouch using a commercial pattern

And then ive decided to do a different one for the 4th...

4. Making a woven pair of pyjama pants 🎉🎉🎉

Ive decided to run this class instead of the leggings - as its a great follow on afternoon from learning to use the overlocker in the morning. I don't want people to feel overwhelmed at the idea of making this - more excited and interested.

The leggings are an advanced sew compared to this and I can run that class again if there is ongoing demand... but I feel this class with the pyjamas should be a little less overwhelming for those that are at the begining (or early) in their overlocker journeys, yet it will stull deliver an abundance of knowledge shared with those that have been sewing for a while

The Cambewarra Arts hall is smaller overall than the CWA in Milton, and has less tables / plug sockets... so classes have to be kept small so that everyone fits and their is enough space, particularly for pattern cutting classes

Anyway, thank you for reading if you've got this far.

Now these are launched im going to be working on the next time table of classes back down in Milton for everyone thats been joining me down there... im excited to start ramping up the knowlage shared with you and see where this can take you creatively

Quietly obsessed with these photos ... the purple flowers are the most magnificent touch!

It was an honour and pleasure to meet you on your journey to wife. Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful gown...

We re-made the sleeves that it has, from being big puff balls (such a vibe), to a softer sweeping folded one. It compliments the shaping on the bodice beautifully and gave the dress a completely different overall feel

Ill always be in love with the blush pink organsa its made of too!

.. so it will sell out by next Sunday. Its happening at 9.30am at Milton CWA

I know ive posted alot recently about these classes, but I will only be running them in the colder months, and I love sharing my knowledge!

If you have a sewing machine collecting dust and need a refresher, this is as equally for you as if you've never used a machine before!

Don't miss this chance to get some of my skills and tips into your own practice! ... how exciting!

Ive just sent out emails and texts to everyone booked onto this weekends sewing classes!

The class on Sunday afternoon - which is making a pair of leggings, still has spots available!

You'll need to be able to thread your overlocker to do this class, and feel *fairly* confident getting it to work, so that the class time can be spent working on the pattern, doing pattern amendments, cutting the garment out, and ofcourse sewing it together

Id love to see a few more people join us for this, as its honestly a class that unlocks your confidence and abilities with the overlocker and really setd you up for success once your home

Deep whole hearted thank you's to everyone that voted for me in this. I only found out with 48 hours to go before votes closed that it was happening, so it must have been a few of you that voted to get me onto the finals list!

There's some incredible names up there, and its an honour and pleasure to be recognised along side them

Thank you to everyone that voted. Ive honestly had the best year working with you all and learning how being a mum of 2 works with my creativity and work

Fingers crossed for 9th June awards night... but I already feel like a winner having my name up there as a finalist

Every time I get home from a wedding as a celebrant, I have the biggest smile!

Honestly, being able to play a part in a couples love story brings me so much joy!

Today, when our bride was walking towards her groom, she couldn't hold back the tears - and it got me good! Took me until 3 scentences into the ceremony to calm my own emotions and find my groove... when love and emotion are around me and raw, I feel it with you 💖💖

Today's ceremony was a micro wedding... 11 people, a photographer, the stylist for the space... you don't need alot of people around you to get married. You just need the ones close to you as a couple. It's your choice how that looks

Today we were at an air bnb in Gerroa, and with the ocean behind us?and the coastal breeze on a sunny afternoon it was quite perfect!

Congratulations to today's special couple... as always, im holding off sharing pics of the bride until I know she's got some up online! It's their news to break to the world, when they are ready... not mine!

Hehe... i love this family so darn much. Ive had the honour of working on multiple weddings with them which means i got to see them often.

So. Many.laughs

My studio feels quiet now they are all happily married! ...
