We are on the move! With little notice, we decided to take up an opportunity in the regional NSW town of Braidwood. As a result, we are pausing some of our activities until we are settled but can still supply what we have in stock. Our website tells you when we will next be able to post out an order. In the coming months, we hope to relocate our workshop and build something better than ever! Stay tuned for updates. It's going to be a lot of fun.

When we're in the workshop printing or packing orders, we're often listening to some great radio stations/shows. Here's our latest blog post highlighting some of favourites. Got any recommendations?

We've been working with Christos from Avenue Road Leather Works for a couple of years to design quality belts and accessories that have our stamp (they literally have our stamp, but also our influence). When we received our first sample from him we knew he ""gets it"" - an attention to detail with an appreciation of what we were trying to do with the classic go-to staples. Our unisex dress belt, with the signature black hardware on black leather looks even better with a matching belt hanger. While leather supply has been an issue due to the broader supply chain issue, we're pleased to say that it won't be long until we can offer the heftier and wider jeans belt we've promised since we launched.

We got to know Christos through him playing guitar in a bunch of bands, but it has been great to re-connect via a different creative outlet. Check out his other work Avenue Road Leather Works, give him a follow and check out the belts he makes to order for us on our website. By the way, if you sign up to our newsletter you'll be sent a 20% discount code for your next purchase."

We're slowly expanding our subculture book range. Four great new titles are now available in small numbers. All contain a great mix of photos, artwork and stories about life outside of the mainstream.

1: Rockers - the making of reggae's most iconic film.
2: Modzines by the ubiquitous Eddie Piller
3: Back in the day – the rise of skateboarding: Photographs 1975 – 1980
4: Surfing Odyssey.

All easily found via our website. More to come!

Our first market stall was so much fun on Wednesday down . We had lots of great conversations about our design and printing process and sold items right across our range, which is really encouraging. From a book on punk zines to a ringtail possum printed on a tote, it really showed how diverse people's interests and tastes are. There was an understandable anxiety about the high number of Covid cases, but everyone was really friendly and supportive. There's a connection you get with people doing a market that isn't replicated with online sales (although that has its own thrill). The logistics of organising that particular market seem quite complex given the access, so thanks must go to the organisers for doing everything in such good spirits. Our niece and nephew came for a visit and ended up running the stall (as you can see in the pics), which really made it a special day for us. They were awesome! We were pretty focussed on what we were doing so didn't take too many photos but here are a few.

What's next for us? We were designing, making screens and printing right up until the night before the market so as we relax for the week between Xmas and New Year's we will be putting some of the new products up on our webstore. These include our new Martha and the Vandellas, Heatwave multi-colour tee and our bold Dusty Springfield number!

We now have some of our tees and Tanglewood Press cards available at the terrific Foundery Cafe in Port Kembla. The area is steeped in history, but the bonus is the emerging creative scene. The itself was reinvented during the recent lockdown by James and he has transformed it into a welcoming place for locals and visitors alike. And of course, he's serving great coffee.

We currently have 6 t-shirt designs in M and L from our monochrome range available at the Foundery Cafe, but we can get other sizes dropped there by request. Just ask James or place an order via our website.

We are excited to announce that we've just added the first book to our store! 'Black Ivy: A Revolt in Style', by Jason Jules & Graham Marsh, charts a period in American history when Black men across the country adopted clothing seen by many as the preserve of a privileged elite and made it their own. Over 200 stunning photos featuring famous, infamous and not-so-famous figures in Black culture are showcased within a beautiful hardback book. We only have a handful of copies available as we dip our toes into offering counter-culture books as part of our range. This title would make a great Christmas present for anyone interested in the roots of mod and skinhead fashion or the role fashion played in political and social movements.
