Good morning from our op shop in the beautiful village of Yungaburra. As the weather cools and you perhaps reassess your clothes, please think of is for your good quality donations. We will find them a good home, and you will be helping children in Nepal. If you leave donations for us when are closed, please tuck them under the roof to the left of the due sir so they stay dry until we re-open.
Open everyday but Sunday 10-3 in the Red Sheds, yungaburra.

Kids grow quickly, and new clothes and accessories get expensive. Come and see us a at Lalli’s and explore our children’s clothing section- most items are only $2-$3. From infant sizes right up to teens.
Lalli’s Op Shop is open 10-3 every day except Sunday in the Red sheds in Yungaburra. Come on Saturday and you can wander the famous Yungaburra markets as well…

We’ve had lots of really nice quality donations lately, ( thanks everyone!) so if you haven’t been in for a while, you might enjoy browsing our shelves and racks sometime soon. Open 10-3 in the Red sheds, yungaburra. And keep us in mind when you’re cleaning out your cupboards!

As the yungaburra markets are now on Sunday due to Anzac Day falling on Saturday, Lalli’s will open 10-3 on Sunday to allow visitors to the market access to our village op shop . See you then!

📣 There have been a few recent changes to local markets:

– We’ve been advised that the Julatten Markets did not go ahead in April, as the event is currently changing hands.
These markets have traditionally been held on the third Sunday from April to December, and it’s hoped they’ll return soon under new management 🤞

– The Dimbulah QCWA Markets will no longer run monthly. The next market will be held in May at the Dimbulah Lions Festival.

– The Yungaburra markets will be held this Sunday 26th April instead of Saturday 25th, out of respect for ANZAC Day commemorations.

As always, we recommend checking directly with event organisers or their social media pages before heading out, as plans can change.

“Who is Lalli?” Volunteers in Lalli’s op shop, Yungaburra are often asked this! The op shop takings support children in Nepal, and Azaleas , part of the Rhododendron genus, are the national flower of Nepal.
The flowers are locally called Lalli gurans, which is where Lalli’s draws its name from… Deeply significant in Nepal, these vibrant, mostly red or pink flowers bloom from March to May, blanketing Nepal's mid-hills and mountain regions. They are highly regarded for their cultural, ecological, and
decorative purposes. A beautiful blossom and name to share with Yungaburra!

Every now and then something very special is donated to Lalli’s op shop. This week we acquired these quirky plates- 19cm across, these vintage Shorter & Son Ltd fish plates, were part of their Art Deco "Fisherware" range from the 1930s-1950s, and are popular collectibles.
These were often designed by the famous ceramicist Clarice Cliff, which increases their appeal to Art Deco collectors. The vibrant yellow body with green accents is a classic "Majolica-style" finish that remains highly sought after. We are offering them very cheaply compared to web prices- $25 a plate or $100 for the set of six. Be quick! Please share if you know collectors of china.
