Our mission is to rekindle the original meaning of the symbol. We also donate 20% of all profits to children in countries affected by war crimes. Our aim is to restore the original meaning of the sw****ka. We plan to do this by bringing facts and information about the sw****kas forgotten origins to the attention of our generation, and bring light into the lives of those who have less than our own
in it's name. To our generation in western society it's most commonly associated with the n**i movement and all the atrocities inflicted on humanity during that time. what's unknown to many is that the sw****ka predates N**i Germany by thousands of years! The sw****ka can be traced back through the ancient Hindu cultures of Asia, as far back as 3000 years ago. here,it symbolises peace, well being and prosperity. It can still be found above sacred temples and monuments, even tattooed on the most enlightened, dedicated followers of the Hindu faith to this day. Also unknown to the masses is that the word "sw****ka" derives from an ancient language called Sanskrit that predates Christ by thousands of years. Since this is the language that gave the sw****ka it's name shouldn't we pay attention to the meaning they attached to it? Directly translated from Sanskrit to English:
"su" means "good", "asti" means "to be," and "ka" is a suffix. Sw****ka literally means "to be good". So you see if we trace the symbol back to its origins, it was never intended to symbolise the evil it's most commonly linked with today. We at Wash The Swash feel it is important to maintain all that is good in this world, that includes reclaiming the good from our past where ever possible. To show our dedication to restoring the original meaning of sw****ka Wash The Swash donate 20% of all profit to children in countries affected war crimes and ethnic cleansing. We are currently working with Bjelave Orphanage in Sarajevo, we were able to donate 1000 euros earlier this year to rebuild and furnish a classroom for them. We can't change the the unspeakable acts of the 1930s-1940s but we can help the victims of ethnic cleansing from our own generation. We want to stress we are not a charity however we operate interactively and with willing transparency with our supporters. we have an active blog an various social media sites and encourage as much involvement/suggestions/constructive criticism from you as possible, in helping us achieve our goal.
