A Message from the Founder — Tanjir Rubayed
Today, I write this with a heavy heart.
Our shipment at Dhaka Shahjalal Airport (Cargo Village) faced a tragic fire incident.
I’m doing a small business — built with dreams, honesty, and endless hard work.
Without holding a CNF license, we trusted a third party to bring in our Winter Collection through wholesale import.
After 8 hours of searching, calls, and waiting — authorities informed that 225 cartons were completely burned, including 3 cartons of Urban Tanjir’s own products.
Those cartons carried months of effort, production costs, designs, and dreams —
and within moments, everything turned into ashes.
The most painful part?
No clear answers.
No access to the site.
No safety accountability.
Hundreds of small traders like us lost everything — and we still don’t know why.
For the past 17 years, the middle-class people of this country have fought silently to survive.
And once again, in the chaos of national systems and politics,
we — the small dreamers — paid the price.
Right now, there will be no new updates about our winter collection.
But this is not the end.
To everyone who has supported Urban Tanjir for the last 10 months —
Thank you from the deepest part of my heart.
Inshallah, I’ll rebuild. I’ll rise again. Maybe stronger than ever.
