If you have an artwork for your garment - these are the 4 things you will need to ask yourself and decide about, before you make an order!

1. Technique
Is your artwork an embroidery, a print? If it's a print, what kind? (screen printing, digital printing, sublimation?) Familiarize yourself with the options and based on the type of garment, type of fabric you're using and your vision - decide how to best showcase your artwork.
Making sample prints and comparing them will help you visualize and decide.
Sampling will also reveal if the file format you’re providing is appropriate or if small changes are needed to enhance the artwork's appearance.

2. Scale
How big is your artwork? Ensure you provide a guide with all the measurements for your artwork. (This isn't the final artwork file, but a visual representation of its dimensions when placed). Don’t leave anything to chance.
Consistency is key, so every garment piece should look the same.

3. Placement
When providing instructions, specify where to place the artwork. After determining the scale, provide measurements for the placement.
Provide measurements on the X and Y axis.
Find easily recognizable points on the garment and connect them to points on the artwork.

4. Timing
It's crucial to know when to print or embroider the artwork. Should it be done before or after the garment is sewn? Is the place where you want the artwork - accessible after sewing?
or is it on a place where it will be difficult for the machine doing the artwork to reach?
