🌿 Srishti Stands for Mercy: Shared from Bangladesh Animal Protection Initiative -BAPI
At Srishti, our core is built on celebrating life, heritage, and the beauty of creation. This Qurbani Eid, as heavy rains make conditions incredibly difficult, we stand in full support of the Bangladesh Animal Protection Initiative (BAPI) to advocate for the ethical and humane treatment of sacrificial animals.
True devotion cannot exist without compassion. Let’s bring Ihsaan back to our traditions by protecting these animals from the harsh rain, handling them with kindness, and honoring them until their final breath.

🕊️ True Devotion Requires Compassion: Keeping 'Ihsaan' Alive this Qurbani
With the heavy monsoon rain pouring across the country right now, the situation at the livestock haats has become incredibly difficult. Watching these exhausted, terrified animals tied up, shivering, and completely exposed to the relentless downpour breaks my heart. Leaving them like this is completely against the true spirit of sacrifice.
Qurbani is a sacred act of devotion to Allah, built entirely on piety and internal purity. Yet, the reality we see—animals being beaten, dragged violently by their ears or tails, and left without clean water for days—is not humane. You cannot honor the Creator by mistreating His creation.
Islam teaches us Ihsaan—showing utmost mercy and excellence to all living beings. Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) explicitly commanded us:
> *"Verily, Allah has prescribed Ihsaan (compassion) in all things... so when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let each one of you sharpen his blade, and let him put the animal at ease."* (Sahih Muslim)
True respect for the sacrifice means honoring the animal from the moment it enters the market to its very last breath.
This Eid, the Bangladesh Animal Protection Initiative (BAPI) urges you to pledge to do better:
⛈️ Protection from Rain: Do not leave animals exposed to the heavy downpours. Ensure they have proper overhead shelter and dry ground to stay warm
💧 Clean Water & Food: Provide fresh drinking water and dry feed after their long, exhausting journeys.
🚫 Gentle Handling: Never beat animals or pull them violently by their ears, tails, or noses. Treat them with calmness.
🩸 Dignity in the Final Moments: Keep the slaughter process completely hidden from other living animals, and ensure the blade is perfectly sharp to avoid unnecessary trauma.
If we want our sacrifice to be accepted, we must treat these animals with the absolute dignity and mercy Islam demands. Let’s bring humanity back to our traditions. 🐾⛈️

🕊️ আমাদের ত্যাগ যেন নিষ্ঠুরতা না হয়: কুরবানীতে ‘ইহসান’ বজায় রাখুন
চলতি বছরের এই টানা ভারী বর্ষণে পশুর হাটগুলোর অবস্থা আমরা সবাই দেখছি। শত শত মাইল দূর থেকে আসা ক্লান্ত, উস্কোখুস্কো পশুগুলো এই অবিরাম বৃষ্টির মাঝে কাদার মধ্যে দাঁড়িয়ে কাঁপছে। খোলা আকাশের নিচে তাদেরকে এভাবে জবুথবু অবস্থায় ফেলে রাখা আমাদের হৃদয়ে কি একটুও দাগ কাটে না?
কুরবানী আল্লাহর প্রতি এক পরম ভক্তি ও ইবাদত, যা গড়ে ওঠে শুধুই তাকওয়া এবং মনের পবিত্রতার ওপর। অথচ হাটে কিংবা আমাদের বাড়ির নিচে এই অবলা জীবগুলোর প্রতি যে নির্মম আচরণ করা হয়—কান বা লেজ ধরে নির্মমভাবে টেনে হিঁচড়ে নেওয়া, লাঠি দিয়ে পেটানো এবং ঘণ্টার পর ঘণ্টা পানি না দিয়ে রাখা—তা কুরবানীর মূল চেতনার সম্পূর্ণ পরিপন্থী। সৃষ্টিকর্তাকে সন্তুষ্ট করার উদ্দেশ্যে তাঁরই সৃষ্টিকে নির্যাতন করা কখনো ইবাদত হতে পারে না।
রাসূলুল্লাহ (সাঃ) আমাদের শিখিয়েছেন **‘ইহসান’**—যার অর্থ সৃষ্টির প্রতি সর্বোচ্চ দয়া ও চমৎকার আচরণ। তিনি স্পষ্টভাবে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন:
> *"নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ প্রত্যেক বিষয়ে দয়া ও সুন্দর আচরণ (ইহসান) ফরজ করেছেন... অতএব যখন তোমরা জবেহ করবে, তখন উত্তম পন্থায় জবেহ করবে। তোমাদের প্রত্যেকে যেন তার ছুরি ধারালো করে নেয় এবং তার জবেহকৃত পশুকে শান্তিতে (কষ্ট না দিয়ে) রাখে।"* (সহীহ মুসলিম)
কুরবানীর পশুর প্রতি সম্মান প্রদর্শন কেবল জবেহের মুহূর্তেই নয়, বরং হাট থেকে শুরু করে তার জীবনের শেষ নিঃশ্বাস পর্যন্ত বজায় রাখা আমাদের দায়িত্ব।
এই ঈদে, বাংলাদেশ অ্যানিম্যাল প্রোটেকশন ইনিশিয়েটিভ (BAPI)-এর পক্ষ থেকে আমাদের আকুল আবেদন—আসুন আমরা পশুর প্রতি সদয় হই:
⛈️ বৃষ্টি থেকে সুরক্ষা: এই ভারী বৃষ্টিতে পশুদের খোলা জায়গায় ভিজতে দেবেন না। তাদের মাথার ওপরে ছাউনি এবং নিচে শুকনো জায়গার ব্যবস্থা করুন যাতে তারা কিছুটা উষ্ণ থাকতে পারে।
💧পর্যাপ্ত পানি ও খাবার: দীর্ঘ ও ক্লান্তিকর যাত্রার পর পশুদের প্রচুর পরিষ্কার পানি ও শুকনো খাবার দিন।
🚫 কোমল আচরণ: পশুর কান, লেজ বা নাকে দড়ি দিয়ে নিষ্ঠুরভাবে টানবেন না। সামান্য অবাধ্য হলে লাঠি দিয়ে আঘাত করবেন না।
🩸 শেষ মুহূর্তে মর্যাদা: একটি পশুর সামনে অন্য পশুকে জবেহ করবেন না এবং জবেহের স্থানটি যেন অন্য পশুদের চোখের আড়ালে থাকে তা নিশ্চিত করুন। ছুরিটি যেন অত্যন্ত ধারালো হয়, যাতে পশুটির অপ্রয়োজনীয় কষ্ট না হয়।
আমরা যদি চাই আমাদের এই ত্যাগ মহান আল্লাহর দরবারে কবুল হোক, তবে ইসলামের নির্দেশিত এই পরম দয়া ও মানবতা আমাদের বজায় রাখতেই হবে। আসুন, আমাদের সংস্কৃতি ও ঐতিহ্যে দয়ার ছোঁয়া ফিরিয়ে আনি। অবলা এই জীবগুলোর শেষ কটা দিন একটু শান্তিতে কাটুক। 🐾⛈️
