After the Bangladesh Independence War was a turning point in the history of the anti-racist movement in East London. The war gave rise to a new generation of activists who were inspired by the struggles of people in the global South and who recognized the interconnectedness of different forms of oppression. The Legacy of the Bangladesh Independence War is still felt in East London today. The anti-racist movement that emerged during this period helped to shape the politics of the area and set the stage for future struggles for justice and equality.
