At Jatra, we believe that heritage should not be confined to museums or fade away with time—it should live among us, in our homes and everyday lives.
This is why Jatra has long embraced Bangladesh's beloved Rickshaw Art, transforming this vibrant folk expression into furniture, home décor, and lifestyle products. Once painted on the backs of rickshaws across the country, the demand for this art gradually declined, forcing many talented artists to abandon a skill passed down through generations.
Jatra chose a different path. We brought Rickshaw Art into contemporary living, creating new spaces for this tradition to flourish. Over the years, we have proudly expanded its demand, introduced it to new customers, and inspired many other Bangladeshi brands to celebrate this art form in their own creations.
Today, Rickshaw Art is no longer limited to the streets—it has found a place in homes, hearts, and modern design. Most importantly, the artists behind this extraordinary heritage can continue practicing their craft with dignity, ensuring that this colourful chapter of Bangladesh's culture lives on for generations to come.
