This brown started with Catechu. 🌿

In our workshop, we're experimenting with natural dyes to create the earthy shades we want for our upcoming textile work.

This small piece of fabric is being dyed with catechu.

What we love about natural dyeing is that the final shade isn't simply selected from a colour chart. It develops through the interaction of the dye material, fabric, water, temperature, time and the dyeing process.

And sometimes, the most beautiful colours are the ones nature gives us.

From nature, through our hands, into textiles.

We are deeply honored to have been invited to a special programme hosted by the British High Commission, welcoming The UK Trade Envoy to Bangladesh, Baroness Winterton.

Tania Naznin, Founder of Tanis Bangladesh, proudly represented our women-led enterprise as part of the Manchester Trade Mission. We are excited to share a significant achievement—securing four promising business leads for export to the UK. This marks a meaningful step forward in our global journey and our commitment to showcasing Bangladeshi innovation on the world stage.

A truly humbling moment came when Baroness Winterton graciously acknowledged Tania Naznin as the youngest entrepreneur within the UK Trade Mission. Her inspiring words, shared in the presence of British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke and distinguished guests from across the country, were not only a personal honor but also a proud milestone for all women-led businesses in Bangladesh.
