হজরত ইবনে ওমার (রা.) থেকে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন, রাসুলুল্লাহ (সা.) সন্ধ্যায় ও সকালে উপনীত হয়ে এই দোয়াটি পড়তেন—

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ

উচ্চারণ: ‘আল্লাহুম্মা ইন্নি আসআলুকাল আফওয়া ওয়াল আফিয়াতা ফিদ দুনইয়া ওয়াল আখিরাহ;

অর্থ: হে আল্লাহ! আমি তোমার কাছে দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতের স্বস্তি ও নিরাপত্তা প্রার্থনা করছি। (ইবনে মাজাহ ৩৮৭১)
