The jabot is a neckscarf-type of garment, reinvented by Martin Margiela into an elliptical wrap with ties. Which could be worn as choker, bandeau or bracelet.

Margiela used thenjabot throughout almost every season, not always shown on the runway. Materials he used came from current collections but also surplus fabric from previous ones. By repurposing fabric, Martin treated this according to his artisanal principles.

Now online is a spring 2006 Margiela dark navy jabot with beige optical illusion circles, in the same fabric as one of the runway dresses. Funnily enough attached to the fabric roll, which makes us wonder if Martin Margiela just snipped these jabots from that exact fabric role.

Nearing a full look as we've already have 2 pairs of the fall 2008 Rick Owens overknee turbo boots (size 36 for sale, size 39 for rent at )

We've found one of our dream jackets of said runway season to pair with the boots. The iconic fall 2008 runway outerwear consisted of contrasting curved panelling with piping, and some featured wings, making them amongst the more recognizable of all seasons. And also slight outliers as Owens rarely used and still rarely uses as much color and fabric combinations in one piece of outerwear, if we're not mistaken. This exception makes them even more iconic for us.

The mouton-lined trim adds warmth on these last dreary days and side ties transform the silhouette in a draped or winged look. Fun detail is the custom chest button shaped like a crystal.
