I want to tell something more about and why we claim to be a “true Belgian Brand”
Wasted was founded by me after more than 25 years experience in fabrics and fashion.
Overstocks and leftover fabrics made me think more about the actual fashion lifecycle and the fastfashion business.
Fashion has become one of the most polluting industries and garments became disposable goods.
We buy truckloads of cheap garments, very often produced in horrible circumstances, to throw them away after a few months😭
That’s why WASTED is only using deadstock fabrics and we produce all garments locally in Belgium.
This is indeed very expensive, but there are several advantages: no transportation, top quality, just in time production and no overstock.
