The Yug is a small useful accessory for people wearing vison or sun glasses.

If you wear your vision glasses nearly all the day, you are not concerned by taking them off and putting them back, several times by hours, the Yug can not offer a great advantage, but well for your sunglasses.

Below some comparisons highlighting the Yug characteristics.

# usefulness arm slipped in shirt:
When you bend, with an arm slipped inside your shirt, the glasses fall on the ground or elsewhere worse. If you put your glasses in your hair, when turn or pitch your head, they are flying away.

The Yug, no problem, you can even run (to catch the bus/metro/ferry/...) or jog/bike/... with the glasses hung on it.

# comparison with magnetic eyeglass holder (MEH):
Main differences, the Yug:
- is a one piece holder, while the MEH has got 2 pieces, so that you can loose one, making the holder unusable
- avoids risk of separation of 2 pieces, because it has got only 1
- no special material required (e.g. magnetic)
- manufacturable in any material, stiff enough while remaining flexible (e.g. recycled polymer)
- is very light (2,5 g)
- does not make the control gates ring
- guaranties hanging (e.g. when running) while magnetic force not always
- no uneasy placing of 2 pieces (of the MEH)
- no need to open / pull up your cloth to put it on
- available in the 7 rainbow colours + white, grey, black and transparent.

# comparison with (glasses) strings:
Glasses string are perhaps a bit cheaper than the Yug (but not so cheaper: Yug costs < 6€, EU+UK shipment included), but glasses strings do the glasses sling when you walk a bit fast and even dangerously when running or stooping/bending.

Theoretical discussions can be conducted over a very long time, but the best thing is to experience the comparison. The presented Yug is already the 14th version, improved through trials over months, by several people.

Are (glasses) strings not better than the Yug ?

If you wear your glasses nearly all the day, so that you are not concerned by taking them off and putting them back, several times by hours, then for your vision glasses, the Yug can not offer a great advantage, but perhaps well for your sunglasses.

Glasses string are perhaps a bit cheaper then the Yug (but not so cheaper: a Yug costs a bit less than 6€, thus a bit more than 6$, shipment included (EU & UK), for the most advantageous reward), but glasses strings do the glasses sling pendularly when you walk a bit fast and very hard (even dangerously) when running or stooping/bending.

From my opinion, the best thing is to experience the comparison. The presented Yug is already the 14th version, improved through trials over months, by several people.

Comparison between the Yug and a magnetic eyeglass holder

The main differences between a magnetic eyeglass holder and the Yug are:
- the magnetic eyeglass holder has got 2 pieces, so that you can loose one, making the holder unusable, the Yug is a one piece holder
- the Yug avoids risk of (unexpected, sudden) separation of 2 pieces, because it has got only 1
- the manufacturing of the Yug does not require special material (like magnetic material)
- the Yug can be manufactured in any (simple or composite) material, that is stiff enough while remaining flexible (e.g. recycled polymer)
- the Yug is very light, it weighs around 2,5 grams, because it is made of light material
- the magnet makes the (airport) control gates ring
- the magnetic force is not always strong enough to guaranty hanging (surely with thick clothes, or running to catch the bus/metro/...)
- the placing of the 2 pieces (of the magnetic eyeglass holder) is not so easy
- you don't need to open / pull up your cloth to put your Yug on it
- the Yug is available in the 7 colours of the rainbow, plus white, grey, black and transparent (uncoloured).

What is the usefulness of the Yug, compared with slipping an arm of the glasses in shirt ?

Have you ever observed that when you stoop/bend, with an arm slipped inside your shirt, the glasses fall on the ground or elsewhere worse ? And if you put your glasses in your hair, when turn or pitch your head, they are flying away ?

With the Yug, you don't have these problem, you can even run (to catch the bus/metro/ferry/...) or jog/bike/... with the glasses hung on it.

I've just launched the crowdfunding campaign (on Kickstarter), the goal is to gather enough money to produce the Yug at very affordable price (target 5€).
