After the eruption, silence.

Volcanic ash drifts downward in imperceptible layers, from pale stone through ochre to deep, smouldering umber. Cinera, from the Latin for ash, captures that slow descent: a gradient that moves from light to dark, like a day fading over a volcanic landscape.

Tivoli - two thousand years of Roman history, translated to the wall.

The cliffs near Tivoli have yielded the world's most prized travertine since the Roman Empire, the same stone that built the Colosseum and lined the Trevi Fountain. This panoramic design captures its unmistakable character: soft horizontal movement, a sandy warmth, a depth only geological time can produce.

Earth, dyed with earth. Bogolan takes its name from the ancient Malian tradition of mud cloth, where fermented clay is pressed into cotton to form bold, geometric patterns.

One of the oldest dialogues between hand and ground - a technique where the land itself becomes the pigment.

The patterns speak of ritual, of symbols passed down through generations, of meaning encoded in every line and angle.

What begins as loose thread - fragile, formless - becomes something richer under human hands: a texture, a pattern, a surface with a soul.

Tessura is rooted in the Italian tessere - to weave - and tessitura, the texture and character of a material. Not the surface alone, but the story of how it became what it is.
