At first sight, a simple spotlight. Built from the ground up, every part was made specifically for this single fixture. All this in a quest to create the best spotlight I could, in terms of aesthetics, mechanics, and, most importantly, the light experience itself.

Straw comes in many finishes, but the polished version is by far my favorite.
The raw aluminium profile is polished until it shines like a mirror, making it blend into any interior as it reflects its surroundings.

The word is out!
I’m excited to finally share my latest design, Straw.

To celebrate the launch with , I had the chance to visit a truly mythical place, an unforgettable backdrop for unveiling something I’ve poured so much into.

It's by far the project I worked on the longest. Straw is my tribute to the classic tubular fixtures of the sixties and seventies. I wanted to make it my own by concealing excess seams and other clutter, details which I believe elevates a product and creates a sense of refinement.

I'm very proud to be able to share this first detail of Straw. My latest design for It's by far the project I worked on the longest. Straw is my tribute to the classic tubular fixtures of the sixties and seventies. I wanted to make it my own by concealing excess seams and other clutter, details which I believe elevates a product and creates a sense of refinement.

But it's so much more than good on the eye. Find out more during the Milan Design Week, where it will be presented to the public for the first time.

Together with , one of the engineers that helped give birth to this product ,we will be hosting dayly talks where you'll have the chance to gain insights into the creative process of this concept.

In case you missed it, will have its own dedicated spot in Milan's city center during Milan Design Week. An old discotheque has been transformed, illuminated, and renamed The Spot.
This conceptual space, designed by , will showcase Modular’s latest novelties alongside one new product by yours truly.

Named Straw, I have often jokingly called this concept my magnum opus. An exaggeration perhaps, but this new product is by far the most complex I have ever created. It is infused with modularity and hidden details, all without compromising on aesthetics and finishes.

During Milan Design Week, you'll have the chance to gain insights into the creative process that took several years to bring Straw to life. Be aware that this daily talk has limited capacity, so make sure to register in advance if you want to uncover Straw's secrets.
