FUSED’s third shoe with , available now at https://www.zellerfeld.com/products/fomaru

The Fomaru is a dress shoe reduced to its essential shape. Just the form and proportions that formal footwear has used for a century, rebuilt from filament instead of leather.

The shape is continuous and unbroken. It works with a suit, and it works when the rest of the outfit is doing something else. It does not try to lead, it finishes the look.

This is the baseline model for an ongoing series. A reference point for future versions.

A classic ready for the future.

Finally! Presenting the new FUSED Hota design! 😃

It was a struggle to translate the idea into reality, but I’m pretty happy with the final result. The goal was to make a bare-foot shoe that doesn’t look like a duck’s flipper. I think I’ve done it!

Overall, the Hota is light and flexible, with a little bit of comfort from the 10mm of lattice midsole. The scalloped edges on the upper are inspired by the structure of the foot and flow nicely into the sides. The shape also is a little reminiscent of a cat’s paw when seen from above.

I love the variety of 3D printed shoes that you can get at ZF, but there aren’t many tried and true silhouettes available. I’m trying to remedy that a little with the Kugun. Way more comfortable than the original! And it might be the first sneaker with an insta QR code on the sole 😆

I’ve been weartesting this design for a few weeks now, and im pretty pleased with it. Zerodrop and a bit roomier in the forefoot, which is nicely hidden by the design. Im calling it the Hota and it will be available from September!
