Project Overall Objective: To foster sustainable development and environmental conservation in the textile and hospitality industries by implementing energy-efficient practices and technologies, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting cross-border collaboration between Bulgaria and Türkiye.
Specific objectives: SPO1. To establish a robust foundation for cross-border collaboration and public engagement, enhancing awareness and commitment towards sustainable development practices in the textile and hospitality industries within the Bulgaria-Türkiye cross-border region; SPO2. To substantially enhance the energy efficiency and sustainability of operations within the textile and hospitality sectors in the Bulgaria-Türkiye cross-border region, leading to a measurable reduction in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Expected results:
- Ahieved through collaborative efforts and cooperation between project partners within the programme framework. In the context of GREENSTEP Project, it represents innovative, sustainable, and mutually beneficial outcomes that result from the collaboration between the Bulgarian and Turkish companies.
- pilot investments in BG&TR related to the critical problem of high energy consumption and its associated environmental and economic impacts in the textile and hospitality industries. DELENA DD EOOD and Şapçı Akaryakıt, implement various sustainable solutions during the project. These include energy-efficient equipment installations, renovation of buildings for improved energy performance, and the adoption of eco-friendly production processes. By implementing energy-efficient technologies and practices, the pilot aims to reduce energy usage, lower emissions, and demonstrate economic savings through operational efficiency.
