Liliyana Petrova – known by her artistic pseudonym Lulu – is a contemporary Bulgarian artist whose work transcends traditional boundaries of art, transforming her paintings into fine fabrics that become flawless fashion collections.
Her multifaceted talent as a painter, graphic artist, and designer reflects her inner world – beautiful, colorful, rich in emotions and feelings, passionate and fiery.
In 2021, Lulu founded her fashion brand BYLLU, marking the beginning of her career in haute couture, “dressing” art in everyday life through impressive, avant-garde collections with an aristocratic spirit.
Her work captivates with expressive palettes, meticulously crafted details, and themes that awaken the senses and create a unique experience. Each collection carries a powerful message that challenges the fashion scene, while the details add depth and character.
Lulu’s creative journey began at the National School of Fine Arts in Sofia, continued at NATFA with a major in Fashion, and later at New Bulgarian University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and a master’s in Painting.
Her collections are inspired by her own paintings, and her garments convey the essence of her art. Over time, she has established herself as an artist with a distinctive style, individuality, and a unique approach.
Her talent has been recognized internationally – Lulu has showcased her work in prestigious galleries in London, Florence, Cannes, and Abu Dhabi. She is the recipient of numerous international awards, and the Fashion Academy of Bulgaria has honored her with the title “For Contributions to Artistic Fashion.”

One of her most significant achievements is the solo exhibition–art performance “Dialogue Between Canvas and Textile” in Cefalù, Italy – a reflection of her entire body of work and cosmopolitan talent.
