Paris’s distinctive rooftops are not a small part of the beauty and character of the city. There is nowhere else similar city cover like this one. In 1850s and 60s in the massive renewal of the city, Baron Haussmann topped nearly two third of the structure with zinc. The malleable lightweight metal is adding airy lightness to the buildings and the skyline making the roofs of Paris a candidate to UNESCO’s cultural heritage list.

Every day the sunset turns the roofs from shimmering bronze to midnight blue. And this is something you should see!
