nothing beats this feeling of being home. the ocean is where i feel most like myself. always has been.

but it took me a long time to fully show up here as a hijabi. to stop worrying about what i was wearing and just — be in the water.

that’s why i started Sojourn. because no woman should have to spend her beach day in her head. you should be in the water. present. free. beautiful.

This was my first time at Komodo National Park in Flores, Indonesia — and honestly? it completely blew my mind ⛰️🏝️

We hiked Padar Island at sunrise, swam at one of the only pink sand beaches in the world, and came face to face with the largest living lizards on earth. All in one day.

Oh — and I did all of it in the same outfit. Bodysuit, leggings, and a different coverup for each stop. No changing rooms, no stress. Just layers that work.
