We rescued 19 little babies, and all of them have shown signs of parvo (parvovirus).
It’s a serious disease caused by a virus, and without proper care, the animal may not survive.
Sadly, from yesterday to today, we’ve already lost 3 little angels…
Right now, we have one puppy hospitalized, and we will be admitting three more today.
We desperately need your help to save these babies.

Another little angel left behind… 💔🐾
Today we introduce Habib — a sweet senior who, even after so much suffering, still carries gentleness in his eyes.
We chose his name because Habib means “dear” or “very loved” in Arabic… and that is exactly what he will be from now on. 🙏✨
At approximately 15 years old, he was found alone, fragile, and completely vulnerable.
When he arrived at the shelter, we received heartbreaking news: Habib has distemper, a very serious disease that affects unvaccinated dogs.
Right now, he is hospitalized and will undergo a series of exams in the coming days.
The costs are extremely high… but how could we give up on a life that still wants so deeply to be loved?
Please, help us give Habib a real chance.
He deserves safety, affection, and dignity — maybe for the first time in many years. 💛🐶

WE NEED YOU 💔🐾
Today we are facing one of the hardest moments at our shelter…
We are caring for 6 little puppies diagnosed with distemper, one of the cruelest and most expensive viruses to treat.
For now, they don’t need to be hospitalized — and that is already a blessing — but the treatment is urgent and costly: medications, special food, vet consultations, exams… and we simply can’t handle all of this alone.
Each one of these little ones is fighting for their life.
And without the proper treatment, they have no chance.
So from the bottom of our hearts, we ask you: please help us save them. ❤️‍🩹🐶

Last week, while we were feeding the shelter dogs, we heard a sound that broke our hearts.
It was a painful cry coming from the nearby woods. We didn’t know what we would find, but we knew we couldn’t ignore it.
We followed that cry… until we came across a scene we will never forget:
A mama dog, skin and bones, exhausted, full of wounds, yet standing firm, protecting her puppies.
She cried out in pain, in hunger, in despair — but above all, in love.
Her babies, so small and fragile, were also covered in maggots, malnourished and apathetic.
Even on the verge of collapse, she never gave up on them.
She taught us what it truly means to be strong.
And we heard her call for help.
Today, they are all safe with us.
But the reality is tough: there are many mouths to feed, medications to buy, and daily care to provide.
We’ve already accumulated over $5,000 in vet bills and treatments, and we still have a long road ahead before they are truly safe and healthy.

🐾 A look that says more than a thousand words.

Chico once lived a beautiful story of love and companionship with his mom, Missi.
Years of affection, warm blankets, and a life filled with tenderness.
But life can be cruel... and Missi is no longer with us. 💔

Since then, Chico — now 13 years old — found himself alone in the world once again.
But love found a new path: we opened our hearts and home to care for him with all the love he deserves. 🏡✨

Sadly, we discovered that Chico has nodules in his lungs, which are making it very hard for him to breathe.
Between hospitalizations, medication, and exams, we’ve already spent over $3,000, and he still urgently needs an oxygen tank to breathe more comfortably.

🙏 Today, we humbly ask for your help to give Chico the dignified life Missi would have wanted for him.
Every donation, every share, every prayer makes a difference.
Because love that saves, multiplies. 💛🐕

WE LOVE UPDATES 😍

This is just a small fraction of some of the happy little animals adopted in the past few months. You may see some familiar faces, or you may not recognize them at all—the puppies have gotten so big! It's so rewarding to see dogs we rescued from beaches, streets, and overcrowded shelters, some in very rough physical condition with broken spirits, now safe and loved in new homes with wonderful owners and siblings (both human and furry!) by their side.

Unfortunately, as we now know, adoptions cannot be the only rescue model we work with. Spay/neuter and TNR services must be paired with adoption if we truly want to tackle the overpopulation crisis in Paraná once and for all. You've all been such brilliant supporters of our initiative, and we have big plans for their future, if we can secure the resources to continue. But we started decades ago as a rescue, one dog at a time, and we'll never tire of matching these little animals with new forever homes.

LOOK HOW FAR CARLITOS HAS COME ♥️
Our hearts are so full to how brave Carlitos Mateo Theo has been on his long, tumultuous healing journey.
As you can see by his intake photos, Carlitos was in awful shape when he was first rescued. He was severely underweight and malnourished, suffering from painful demodex mange, and tested positive via biopsy for viral papilloma. This poor baby had to undergo months of treatment in isolation. But it was incredible to watch his skin heal, fur grow back, and body weight recover - and finally, he tested negative for the virus.
Once his medical issues were resolved, Carlitos could make his way to our Sanctuary and reveal his true spunky personality. He is 10 months old, weighs 28 lbs, and has the cutest little bobtail. Carlitos is a ball of energy and a very happy, intelligent boy. He’s done great learning how to sit and walk on a leash, and he’s finally been cleared to fly!!!
After months and months of rehabilitation, Carlitos deserves an incredible forever home.

A shelter dog doesn’t get to choose who walks through the door, but they wait all the same.
They don’t care about the car you drive or the house you live in. They only want someone kind, patient, and willing to stay.
When you adopt, you’re not just giving a dog a home - you’re promising to be their world. Take that choice seriously. Look beyond the cute faces and wagging tails and ask yourself if you’re ready for the loyalty and trust that come with it.
Every dog deserves an owner who would be chosen back if they had the chance. Be the person they’d pick without hesitation.
