Marionetes....

Na próxima 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚-𝐟𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐚, 𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝟑𝟎 𝐝𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐨, as marionetas de pulso de Manuel Costa Dias sobem ao palco do Museu da Marioneta com o espetáculo 𝑽𝒐𝒂 𝑽𝒍𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒓, 𝒗𝒐𝒂.

Um espetáculo em memória de Vladimir Zakharov, marionetista russo e criador da marioneta de pulso, onde se recordam os seus encontros com o marionetista português, Manuel Costa Dias.

Em 𝑽𝒐𝒂 𝑽𝒍𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒓, 𝒗𝒐𝒂 – tal como na vida – percorrem-se momentos de empatia, de ternura, de confronto e interrogação.

A few days before this crowd headed north to become the Wall of Wee Folk in my exhibition in Vermont, I had the idea of using them in a new jigsaw puzzle image. (Learn about the Wall of Wee Folk and the exhibition in this week's blog post: http://weefolkstudio.com/2023/10/08/wall-of-wee-folk/ )
We had to act quickly because they'd soon be out of town for 3 months. Here I am, arranging over 100 dolls that I've made over the past 20 years on my grandmother's old breadboard. Rob took a hires photo and a puzzle and a notebook are now in production! I'll let you know when they are available in my Etsy Shop.

The Wee World of Salley Mavor is currently on view at the Southern Vermont Arts Center until January, 2024.
