Whether we’re homegrown, or we were flown in on an asteroid eons ago by our alien ancestors, we are all creatures of this planet. As a collective, we may bless the Earth Mother once a year, but I celebrate my innate connection every day, every hour, every minute. I am not religious, but I pray to the sun, to the moon, the stars, the soil. Grounding, swimming, cycling the blossom blown streets of London. My passion for this planet reaches back into my childhood, burrowing into grassy dens lovingly crafted in Welsh hedges by our little grubby soil caked hands. Determined to create mystical worlds in the undergrowth, believing in nymphs and fairies and magic. I’ve been holding the project close to my heart for a while (I am embarrassed to admit just how long this baby’s been simmering on the creative stove top) and not quite ready to reveal all yet, but I can offer a tiny glimpse with these images - Earth Girl in her wild native lands eating a flower ice cream.. sipping a divine ‘dirt martini’.. Communing with and ingesting nature in pure celebration. This is actually the 3rd chapter in a longer narrative taking EG on a journey from digitally bewitched via nature rehab back to her wild self, with Earth as the great cosmic mother of rebirth and reconnection…. // Continue reading in comments if the desire takes you, this one overflowed its banks..
