A Tale of Two Sweaters: Part Two
I somehow managed to start and finish this hoodie between September sometime and (well, just after) Christmas. I worked my butt off trying to finish it alongside a commission in time for Christmas, but I was at the point where it was either that or sleep.....and I had to sleep π€£
This "Southwest Sweater" is for my 9 year old, and he is completely obsessed with it. Actually he was glad it wasn't finished for Christmas, because in the end he got to pick out the buttons (and I think he made a fab choice)!
It uses the same neon green from my previous post (and I still have a bit left), plus again some more from my stash including some leftovers from the patchwork sweater. The darker green with black actually came from a thrift store in town, and I had exactly the right amount (once I changed the cuffs to solid black, anyway). I wasn't sure how that green would go with the rest of the colours, but I think it turned out surprisingly great!
The orange came from the new yarn shop in town, ! I haven't been there as often as I'd like recently, but this place opening last year still changed my life honestly! As I mentioned before, my yarn mojo was kind of severely depleted, and I just could not get it back. I found it thanks to this shop - FINALLY!!! (In true "me" fashion, I can't remember what the yarn was to tag the maker, unfortunately - where did I put that label?) Anyway, can't thank Laurie enough for helping me find my knitting mojo once again!
I also had to include photos of the insides of this bad boy, because I am really quite proud of it. I mean look at that colourwork ππ»ββοΈ
I've taken photos of my kid in it too but I won't post those here - I'll say he looks mighty good in it and he's awfully proud to show it off π₯°
