What do I look for in a perfect tee? The perfect fit, the right fabric, low maintenance care and a piece that does good in more than just my closet. Kindred Coast’s Hummingbird tee fits that criteria to a tee(See what I did there? 😉). This Canadian made cutie starts off fitted and then relaxes away from the body as it flows down and ends in a shirt-tail style hem, so its perfect for wearing loose or tucking in! The fabric comfort might even be more important to me than fit, because if it doesn’t breathe and feel good next to my skin, there is no way its coming out of the drawer. Organic cotton provides moisture wicking and breathablity and recycled polyester (from water bottles!) adds softness and long lasting shape, both of these fabrics are low maintenance care for, which is a bonus! Edit: Threadwork will open around 11:30, April 16th.

Three weeks ago today, I had surgery on my hip and my hope was that I’d be back mostly in the swing of things by now (don’t look at me like that, I know it was ambitious!). I’m healing well and making really good progress in physio, and today I need to listen to my hip and take a break so I don’t derail all the hard work I’ve done. So this is a gentle reminder to myself and to any of you that need to hear this today: it’s ok to take a break sometimes and rest IS productive. So I’m going to curl up with my heating pad, my dogs and a trashy beach read and let myself heal.

We’ll be open regular hours tomorrow.

Not just a pretty face, my better half Jacob makes amazing custom work on his Glowforge (and he’s the kindest, sweetest human I know to boot!). He made the perfect baskets to round out my Huha Underwear display and they stack! They’re the perfecgt compliment to the brickformers on the top of the shelf and so light and easy to move. Thanks they’re allllmost as fantastic as you are! 😘

Dia suit (an Irish greeting) and a happy St Pat’s to you all today! My Dad had Murphy’s Laws posted in his office when I was a kid and I used to love going in and reading all of “our” laws. Years later I found the same rules on a tea towel visiting family in seaside town called Newcastle in Northern Ireland and had it framed so I could keep reading it for its wisdom and as a wonderful memory about my Dad. So enjoy this bit of lighthearted Irish Wisdom on a day where we all get to be a little Irish. Go n’éiri an bóthar leat (may the road rise with you).
