It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of a very beloved business owner, Jennifer Specht from the Chancery Lane Co.. Jennifer died peacefully, following a brief illness, on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge.
Jenny had been a part of the Downtown community since moving here with her family in 1959 when her parents opened their first business on the street - Maureen's a ladies clothing store named after her mother. She grew up on the street and always called main street her playground. The love of retail was in her blood and she happily opened her first business - The Gingerbread House in 1995 and then later The Chancery Lane Co. Jenny was a staple on the street and greeted everyone with a smile and loved to converse with her customers and fellow business owners. We can honestly say she will truly be missed by all that were blessed enough to know her.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this very difficult time.
Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2020 between 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm AND between 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. between 9:00 am - 12:00 noon (705-645-2257) to reserve a specific time to attend the visitation or service. Unfortunately, Reynolds cannot accommodate unregistered visitors.
