This is so very true,

After the whirlwind of Christmas, makers finally give themselves permission to pause. The late nights, careful stitches, and heartfelt creations are complete, and now there is space to breathe, reflect, and simply be. Every handmade piece carried love, patience, and dedication—and that effort deserves recognition, not rush.

This quiet moment is where creativity gently returns. Rest is not the end of making; it is part of it. As the new season unfolds, allow yourself time to recharge, dream again, and create at your own pace. Beautiful things grow when we honor both the work of our hands and the stillness of our hearts.

It’s funny every time you open to type something in for a post it asked you the same question” what’s on your mind?” so what’s on my mind, it’s total gratitude. It’s a huge thank you. As we close up the chapter 2025 thoughts are now turned to 2026 of course. What can I do new, what can I create that’s something different for my customers? What was their feedback? What do I need to improve? How can I change this item or the way that item looks or feels. For those of you that truly know me you know that’s the way my brain works. But before I can answer all those questions I need to do this first. I need to say thank you thank you thank you.

What was once a little hobby, a way to make a little extra money so I could do more things for my family, has turned into a passion. A way to be creative,a way to keep my mind sharp. A way to make myself happy inside.

So let’s turn thoughts to 2026. Some of you may have known my embroidery sewing machine died several years ago, and my sister has been helping me out with that part of the business. I can’t thank her enough for that, but I lost that part of being creative trying to design new ideas. Think of new colours find new ideas that might appeal to you. So the other day I ordered a new embroidery machine I took lots of feedback from other crafters. Worked it into my budget and bingo. It arrived. So once I figure all of this new technology stuff out, I’ll be up and running.

Happy holidays have a great New Year’s and Woolies Sewing will be back in the fall with lots of new mittens to select from and some newly created items. So that last thing i want to say is one final Huge Thank You to all of YOU!!!

Wow the winds last night. If your like so many waking up this morning still without power, go for a drive, roads are good. The vendors at the Bridgewater Farmers Market came out, they are set up for the final weekend. Woolies is here with them at the old arena location.

Restocking sweaters and liners for 2026 has begun. Excited for the next chapter!! Happy New Years to you all. Have some new things coming for next year and some alterations to some existing items.

Early morning prep work has begun, to prepare for the 2026 Lobster Crawl. Are you beginning to prepare for everything lobster. Woolies has been honour over the years, to create thank you gifts for judges and guests.

You asked, I listened, I contemplated. And the Answer is yes, I can do one more event. Woolies sewing and all remaining 2025 inventory will be at this Saturdays December 20th Bridgewater Farmers Market from 9:00-1:00. This will be my final event for 2025. I would like to thank everyone that shopped or event stopped by my booth. Your kind words fuel my passion even more to create. I have always quote that “creativity is a passion to be shared” . And does Nova Scotia have some of the best and creative of individuals. I enjoy being at the shows, talking to the other vendors and talking to you the customers that support us. I’m still listening and learning from people. I’m excited for 2026, as I continue to juggle a schedule of family time, personal time, exercise time and time for friendships plus sewing and sewing and sewing haha. Happy Holidays to each and everyone of you. I can’t say it enough Thank You !!!!!
