We create all our candles ourselves and we made a candle that reminded us of summer nights by the campfire. Sticky fingers from one too many s’mores. Laughing until we cry. Perfect summer nights.

We also love this candle because it’s offering care to our artisan partners in Kenya and Uganda. A portion of each candle we sell goes into a care fund for when emergencies arise.

I can’t decide what I love most about these pieces. Is it because…
1️⃣ they’re beautiful
2️⃣ they’re made mainly from recycled materials
3️⃣ they are providing income to Kenyan artisans and helping break the poverty cycle

Are paper beads durable? Although I wouldn’t recommend swimming with them on… I have actually gone for a dip wearing them (by accident) and they were fine! You see each bead after carefully being rolled and dried gets three coats of a clear finish. It makes it durable and long lasting! Love the quality of these - and to think it was once paper that was recycled into this!

Today (July 1) we are donating 10% of all our sales online or in person (we are at the Caledonia fairgrounds today) to the . Woodland Cultural Centre serves to preserve and promote Indigenous history, art, language and culture.

We recognize we are a part of Canada - but still have much work to be done towards Truth and Reconciliation.
