Sometimes, my complete lack of working memory is truly a sight to behold.

​Today I poured a fresh batch of candles. I was being so intentional, choosing the very end of the day so they could cure in peace and I wouldn’t try to work around them. Brilliant strategy, right?

​I turned my back for literally three seconds.

​In those three seconds, my brain did a hard factory reset. I completely forgot the candles existed and aggressively started scrubbing my mixer. Cue the entire table shaking like an earthquake, and a minor tidal wave of hot wax splashing everywhere.

​Behind the scenes of a small business, it’s not all cute aesthetics and smooth sailing. Sometimes it’s just you, a scraper, and a profound sense of regret. 🤦‍♀️
