Children were excited about the new open_ended loose part materials we have in the backyard, they were creative while using the wheels, we built a bridge, we surfed, we jumped from one wheel to another, sang the floor is lava song while jumping and they used the wheels as a way to run from zombie 🧟‍♀️ they showed me their skills while driving cars in between the wheels. ( excellent drivers by the way)

My little arcthetics today decided to build a golf area, we talked about multiple ways that we can use to build, I suggested we drew the area and I mentioned that what builders do before they start building. It was one way to help children build on to their critical thinking and problem solving skills, group discussion and collaboration among group members.

After reading a book called pirate songs, children were interested in spyglass and we got to talk about how we use it to look for things, see things that are far. Then we made spy glass for everyone and decided to look out for birds.

This book also gave us the idea to play some music on ukulele and we asked for some help form my daughter as she is the one who plays ukulele.

Children loved it ❤
