Monday on Mars

Just wanted to share a quick update!

Monday on Mars was started last spring as an t-shirt brand that celebrated and explored different themes through minimal embroidery. We spent months training on embroidery / developing designs and truly had an awesome start! Shirts were selling, we were making plans for new collections, we even got a few key wholesale accounts. We then had the rug pulled out and lost the person who had spent the past six months training on the machines! Gah!

So, we put everything on hold at that point with plans to hire again. We did actually hire someone part-time (for a short time (it didn’t work out). Long story short, it was soon fall and we got busy with other things. We already have trouble keeping up in fall/winter each year with our sock brand, and this year we also had in the mix so we just decided to just let Monday on Mars hang out for a bit.

Fast forward to now and we find ourselves in a weird place. We just don’t seem to be that passionate anymore about the original idea. That’s not to say that something won’t peak our interest again with it, but in all honesty… We’re exploring other awesome things we can do with embroidery and Monday on Mars as a brand. Or something else! We have ideas! AND we’re also open to all kinds of other options. Anything is on the table. You have an idea or wanna get involved? Email us at [email protected] with a pitch - you never know. Anyway, maybe it’s apparel again, maybe it’s something totally different. Maybe we sell the machines and focus on something else with it entirely, or we re-jig our original concept and keep going. Whatever happens please know that we will be back soon with something cool. Something that we’re once again passionate about.

Also, in other news, our family of brands is about to launch something brand new on March 1st. We’re currently putting the finishing touches on the website and will soon be helping to feed kids through our partnership with Action Against Hunger. Head over to if you’re curious.

Guys! New product release tomorrow, but while we wait, check out this nifty size guide photo. We will be adding 4 people this week (including John who is pictured here), and will also be reaching out to individuals who expressed interest in helping out with modelling. It was a big objective of ours to get something in place that features all shapes and sizes to help take the guess work out. We really want to do our best as a brand to make sure you you’re getting the size you’re looking for. This helps with that. Monday on Mars socks are quite possibly the comfiest socks you'll ever wear. Just look at the insides! The terry cotton footbed extends all the way above the heel and toe for extra coziness. The ribbing is best described as a stretch flex; not too tight, not too loose. Last but not least, they are ethically made in a small Italian factory out of OEKOTEX 100 certified cotton.

Hey guys, meet Eddie. Eddie’s real name is hoopamatic1287625SDK and was created on the planet zoltron in galaxy 287. Eddie helps us hoop perfectly every time ensuring consistency in our embroidery placement. He also makes a fantastic espresso. Some say it’s out of this world.

All our socks are ethically made in Italy using certified OEKOTEX 100 cotton. They feature a super soft terry cotton footbed that extends over the top of your toe and above the heel. They are a hybrid between athletic/leisure and are perfect for sliders. All embroidered in-house here in sunny Calgary AB 🍁
