It’s important to understand that an ethically made, organic cotton onesie set cannot retail for under $40. If a piece of clothing is truly made with care—using high-quality, organic materials and ensuring fair wages for workers—it simply can’t be sold at the same price as mass-produced items made in countries where labor is cheap and often exploited. The true cost of ethical production, from sourcing sustainable fabrics to paying workers fairly, is reflected in the price.
