Sometimes it’s important to share why our products are so valuable.

We know our laptop bags are about $120 CAD more than similar-looking options you may find on Amazon, Temu or AliExpress. But the truth is, they simply can’t be compared.

In fact, we’re often approached by overseas importers asking for details about our manufacturing process. We know exactly why! they just want to create replicas. 🧐 And that’s often what you’re getting when you pay $79 for a knockoff.

Of course, you have every right to choose what works best for your budget, and that’s completely okay. We just don’t want anyone to be disappointed by receiving a product that looks nothing like the polished AI-generated image used in the listing.

Dear amigos,

As market season approaches, we often hear the claim that beading, feathers, and body painting belong only to Indigenous Nations in Canada and the USA. Sometimes this even comes as an accusation that Indigenous peoples from Mexico and other parts of Latin America are “copying” or “stealing.”

This is simply not true.

It’s time to decolonize our knowledge and recognize that Indigenous Nations across the Americas share deep ancestral roots and artistic traditions. Similar expressions of art, ceremony, and spirituality exist throughout the continent.

For example, the Wixarika Nation in Jalisco continues to carry ancient traditions: sacred pilgrimages to leave ofrendas to the gods and Mother Earth, youth initiation ceremonies, and weeks-long deer hunts in the sierra—practiced much as they were centuries ago, without modern technology. They also protect and use sacred communal lands for ceremony and governance.

Indigenous Nations have always had rich, complex, and interconnected cultures. Instead of questioning authenticity, let’s educate ourselves and honour the diversity and shared heritage of Indigenous peoples across all of the Americas.
