Gems Swag: The Inspiration Behind The Brand

Gems for Gems was founded in 2015 and operated with the belief in ‘Humble Giving’ aka giving for the sake of helping others, not for social credit.

For three years our work was carried out within shelters across Canada but with a concentration in our home base, Calgary. However, it became clear that our impact needed to increase to match the ever increasing need. We would need help... and a lot of it.

Gems for Gems became a registered charity in March of 2018 and within six months, our Ambassador Program was created! We have been so fortunate to have such an incredible team of people rally around our cause from all over Canada. Due to the numbers, we wanted to make a t-shirt available for all ambassadors to show unity at Gems events, and to help bring awareness to our cause within the community! Thus, ‘Gems Swag’ was born!

Our swag has been incredibly popular with our Ambassador team so we began expanding the line in order to give more options for our Ambassadors! Until Jan. 2020, the line was available only to our team.
