When I first saw I knew I wanted to make it specifically for chilly climbing mornings 😌

Went out to Heart Creek yesterday with + for our first climbing day of the summer. I never made it to the second draw of any climb and my arms are SO dead today but it was a whole lot of fun.

And I cried like a baby comin’ home from [my vaccine appointment]

K but seriously, did anyone else get extremely emotional over getting their shot?
Just me?
I started crying the moment I walked into the giant room full of people getting the vaccine. The woman at the front of the line directing people asked if I was crying because I’m afraid of needles. I told her “no, it’s just been a long 6 months for me since I got covid. It’s been a long day in particular as I spent most of it at a lung specialist doing tests. I’m just tired. And I’m happy.”
All that is true.
What is also true is that this is one step closer to me being able to see my family in Ontario again (it’s been 21 months since I last saw them), and meeting my perfect little niece before she’s a teenager! It’s hope that the vaccine can help my long covid symptoms diminish as it has for some others. It’s relief that I don’t have to worry about getting covid again every time I interact with other humans (a real fear that I have & definitely need to see a psychiatrist about). It’s anticipation to hang out with my friends again.
My vaccine is a single chain in a whole body of armour for my city, my province, my country, this world.
It’s 1 step closer to normalcy ❤️

Did a little update on my racerback crop pattern aka basically re wrote the whole thing 🙈 & made an accompanying YouTube crochet along video. This is one of my favourite patterns and favourite tops to wear. So simple. So easy to style. I knew I needed to update it and make it more accessible sizing wise and skill wise. Patterns are 20% in my shop this week to celebrate 🎉
