Crazy but true: the T-shirt was once literally hidden under shirts. Now it’s a billboard for your life. 😮👕
Sailors in the early 1900s trimmed their undershirts to stay cool — and in 1913 that cut-off shirt became official Navy gear. From there, Hollywood’s favorite rebels (think Brando and Dean) took the plain tee out of the bedroom and onto the big screen, and the world followed. 🎬✨
The T-shirt evolved: protest slogans in the 60s, logo mania in the 70s, band merch and street identity in the 80s and 90s — then boom: anyone could print anything. Iconic pivot: Milton Glaser’s “I ♥️ NY” (1977) showed how a tiny design could become a global shout. Today your tee says you — loud, proud, and portable. 📣🌍
Quick thought: your closet is a timeline. That worn concert tee? The “freebie” from a college event? The shirt you wore on a bad date and still laugh about? Those shirts are stories — and people love stories.
