How to tell if a jacket fits in under 10 seconds ⏱️

Most men have no idea if their jacket actually fits. Here’s the fast version.

✅ Shoulders: the seam should end exactly where your shoulder ends, not past it, not before it
✅ Button test: you should slide a flat hand between your chest and the jacket
✅ Sleeves: about half an inch of shirt cuff should show
✅ Stand still: if the jacket moves with you, it fits. If you’re adjusting it, it doesn’t

Most people think of a shirt as the thing under the jacket. I think of it as the piece with the most room to actually play.

When we build a custom shirt, nothing is fixed. Collar, inner collar, cuffs, all of it is a decision, not a default. Want a double cuff? A French cuff with your own cufflinks? Double buttons instead of single? All of it's on the table.

That's the part people don't expect, how limitless it actually is. A shirt isn't just fabric and buttons, it's one of the easiest places to show a little of your own style, even in the middle of a completely buttoned-up day at the office.

And here's something worth knowing if you've been curious about going custom but weren't sure where to start: shirts are usually the most approachable entry point, easier on the wallet than you'd think, and a great way to feel what "made for you" actually means before deciding what's next.
