Introducing “Baby’s First Toys”: elephant, stegosaurus, giraffe, seahorse, and a balloon cover!

These handmade toys are completely safe for little ones,  as they have no buttons, ribbons, or other trims that would come loose.

The balloon cover makes any latex balloon into a safer indoor ball, as they float slowly and are easier to catch. When they eventually pop, it does so safely inside the cover and the pieces all stay in one place.

A collection of these coordinated toys, inside of a matching drawstring bag, will be a featured item for sale at my booth, at the Wetaskiwin Multicultural Heritage Festival this year: June 13-15, 2025.

The “Crossover Back Hoodie”

I typically wouldn’t make a hoodie out of such thin material, but I was testing out the pattern. I would definitely make this again. It was simple enough and definitely cute! Although I can pull it off, my youngest daughter will take this one. She’ll have far more opportunities to wear it than I will. 😁

The caveat is that it only prints in “Medium” and she doesn’t say what measurements the garment ends up with. Fits me though! 😄

Unless it’s expert level, if it has a pattern, I can probably make it for you! I also have a growing library of garments XS to 5X with LOTS of ways to personalize things to your taste and body shape. including, but not limited to outer wear, sleep wear, dresses, skirts, and also kids and men’s wear.

I picked up a nice stash of this upholstery fabric recently, to whip up a “Marlin Backpack” in the large size from bag patterns 😊
