Sometimes things don’t work out for a reason. It just wasn’t meant to be this year for me. I had everything packed up and ready for the Cathedral Arts Festival, but my body said “not today” and I woke up with food poisoning.

Definitely disappointing because I was really looking forward to being there and showcasing my work, but I’m trying to remind myself that health comes first and maybe the universe has something else planned for me.

To everyone attending this weekend, I hope you have an amazing time and support all the talented artists there. Hopefully I’ll make it out next year. 🧡

In honour of MMIW, I’ve created this colouring page as a way to encourage reflection, learning, and conversation.

This piece represents strength and remembrance. I chose this imagery to honour MMIW because Indigenous women carry so much strength, beauty, and resilience, even through pain and loss. The butterfly represents spirit and transformation, a reminder of the ones we’ve lost and how they’re still with us. The wings hold her up and surround her, like protection, a reminder to uplift and remember our women, girls and 2 spirt people.

This piece is about creating space for them, honouring who they are, and making sure they’re never forgotten.

This colouring page is free to download and use. I encourage you to share it, use it in classrooms, at home, or in community spaces, and take time to talk about why MMIW matters.

Let’s continue to honour, remember, and raise awareness ❤️

I haven’t painted in a while, and coming back to it reminded me why I started. Painting has always kept me close to my grandma.

As much as I love digital art, painting teaches me something different; nothing has to be perfect. I used to spend hours chasing perfect lines, but this reminds me to let go, trust the process, and just create.

A shawl dancer moves beneath the moon, her braid flowing as her shawl spreads wide like butterfly wings; vivid, alive, and in motion. Each step carries rhythm, story, and the strength of womanhood, her golden dress catching light as she dances freely.

Prairie lilies bloom around her, rising with her movement, while evergreens stand tall behind; witness to her spirit. Above, the full moon glows, a symbol of femininity, cycles, and the quiet power held within women across generations.

Like the butterfly, she transforms,
not to become something new,
but to fully step into who she has always been 🦋

After a lot of thinking, I’ve decided to step away from creating artwork… 🎨

It hasn’t been an easy decision, but I feel like it’s time to move on and explore something new. Art has been such a huge part of my life, and I’m so grateful for everyone who has supported me, shared my work, and believed in what I create.

Moving forward, I’ll be focusing on something completely different… like becoming a full-time professional competitive rock collector🪨

Thank you everyone for your support, wait until you see my awesome rock collection!

Art piece created for Teagan Littlechief Music

“This piece represents a journey of identity, strength, and connection to the land. The road symbolizes life’s path, while the buffalo reflects resilience, survival, and guidance.“

Feeling really grateful and inspired this year. So far 2026 has been incredibly busy in the best way possible! 🙌🏽

Here are some of the projects I’ve been working on:

• A colouring book calendar (12 original pieces)
• A colouring book (4 pieces so far)
• A double-sided bookmark design
• A custom Visual Land Acknowledgement for a local Carlyle business

• Workshop connected to an upcoming MMIW event

• Preparing for the Regina Cathedral Arts Festival tradeshow — the biggest one I’ve attended yet
• Yorkton Sunflower Tradeshow — my first year participating

• Continuing to create artwork for my upcoming book

I’m so excited to keep creating, sharing culture through art, and connecting with new communities along the way and I hope my list continues to grow 🙌🏽
