Located in Vermilion River County, Alberta. My name is Juanita and I live in rural Alberta in the Vermilion River County. My husband and I are serial DIYers and thrifters. We are always up for a challenge, a good deal and a great transformation. My love of all things vintage and antiques has been a life long passion. Currently I'm loving the cottagecore trends. rabs my attention. I have a little antique and vintage shop in my barn loft and this year(2024) I've been open one weekend a month with the occasional Saturday thrown in. I don't have stock or time to be open more. And I enjoy changing things up often. So if you come one month, chances are things will have changed by the next month. I don't like to hang on to stuff too long as I believe all of these treasures are meant to be enjoyed. So it is for that reason I do price my stuff pretty reasonably and often below market value. The barn needs repairs and upgrades. So our focus is on working on these jobs in small increments and the money I make goes immediately back into those costs. I will always be a thrifter at heart but my shop is not a thrift store; I buy 95% of my stock and that is what sets me apart from the thrift store market. It’s a dreary, rainy day here. We are thankful to not be getting the heavier rain today though. Just 15mm in my rain gauge since Friday evening.
But a nice day to stay cozy inside.
I’m dreaming of sunnier days and colourful flowers.
There’s a saying that if you look to nature for your colour palette, you’ll get it right every time. Bright greens, blue skies, flowers of varying shades and colours.

I feel like we all need more colour in our homes. The vintage world is full of vibrant inspiration.

I’m just finishing pricing and tidying. The rain has held off, the temperature is perfect.
The barn is glowing.
While we have some empty spots due to a leaky roof, I’m confident you’ll find some great treasures and a new found love of colour. Cabin, cottage, kitschy home decor is my vibe. Nothing is too fancy. Some things might still have dust on them. I’m a one woman show and my feet are killing me! 😆🫣

1/2km south of Clandonald.
Clandonald is hosting some community events as well.
My neighbour to the south will also be hosting a sale as well as having the most beautiful yard and garden anywhere. Trust me- you need to see TURTLE TOWN.

Tammi with SCRATCH Artisan Home Bakery is bringing all kinds of baked goodies to the barn as well.

Bring cash.
Don’t bring your dog.
Drop your husband and kids off at the show and shine which also will have a concession. (Lunch is looked after! Yay!)

I am always reluctant to post too many pictures ahead of opening day because I inevitably get a ton of messages asking prices and if I can hold things.

So let me restate what I have said multiple times before: I don’t hold or sell anything prior to a market or prior to an opening day. You can message me after if you aren’t able to come out but the whole point of me showing off what I have is so that people will come out. Otherwise I am just an online seller.

For me, the fun is in the displays and the lead up to an event. It is much more fun for the folks coming out to anticipate what they’ll see.
It’s also first come, first served.
And so, I love your enthusiasm! But no, I’m not sharing prices ahead of time and I’m not holding or selling anything prior to June 20th at 12 noon. Swoon, drool , plan to come out. 🤗😆😉
