Today’s a good day at the store: we welcome a new member to the staff team, assistant manager Valeska Humke. Valeska comes to us from working for an equestrian supply company, and also has a history in social service work and the restaurant industry. One bonus that (we promise) was not a deciding factor in her hiring: she’s a lover of animals, especially horses. She’s a certified vaulting instructor (think gymnastics … on horseback). She’s also a fan of her Australian Border Collie Fred Astaire, who you might find in the store from time to time too. Valeska will be manage the bricks-and-mortar operations of the store, as we work to meet the expanding demands of our online operations and a growing list of offsite events across the province.
