Reusing has been part of my business from the beginning, but it's also a work in progress! My first drawstrings for bags were new cording from the fabric store, but I quickly found recycled cotton cord from a Canadian business. I used to print and cut labels on flimsy scrap paper that would get wrinkled too easily, and I finally took the plunge and got recycled tags a couple of years in. Now I'm happy to use secondhand fabric, recycled and deadstock materials, recycled business cards and tags, and reused packaging from the community! I didn't have it all figured out at the beginning, but it's something I've been working on, and there's always room for change! :)

Happy Friday! 🎉 I haven't started sewing yet after the Christmas break, but I'll be getting back to it soon ☺️ Meanwhile I'm working away at my day job as a speech therapist and spending my free time reading, playing board games, enjoying café dates with friends, learning how to crochet, getting in daily movement, and my fave: cuddling with our kitty cat, Jango (he transforms into a lap cat in the colder months lol).

Such a dreamy space! ✨ I had my first ever brand photo shoot today! There were outfits changes, action shots, genuine giggles and lots of floofies. Thank you to for the generous giveaway prize, for your time, talent and way to make me feel at ease, and for your gorgeous space 😍

Low waste kits for Local Good ✨ I decided to put together some kits with a little bit of everything - great for those wanting to try out my products or share some pieces with loved ones! But wait - there's more! 😃

As in previous years with my screen-printed bags, partial proceeds will go to Local Food for Local Good's Holiday Festive Program! This program will deliver boxes of nutritious food and a holiday meal to families in Northumberland County on December 24th, ensuring everyone has a happy holiday.

These kits are "pay-what-you-can". I would just love for everyone who has been thinking about it to be able to try out these low waste alternatives!

Tomorrow's the day!! See you at Make It Markets Handmade Holiday Market in Cobourg! 💝 Last year's market was a blast so I'm excited to see all your smiling eyes and everyone's creations! The building will be full of such amazing vendors 😍 Free entry, free parking, and donations accepted at the door for the Northumberland Humane Society 🐾

Market time! I'm so excited for my first Christmas market of the season! 🎄 Find me (and my new sign! 🌿) at the Modern Makers Market Holiday Market tomorrow from 11am-5pm at the Morrow Building in Peterborough. I'll be at booth 95, to the right of the entrance! :)

Tickets are available in advance at modernmakersmarket.ca or at the door. Come prepared with reusable bags to fill because the space will be full with so many talented makers! 💝

New look!! 🌿 Same me, with a brand refresh :) So thankful to Amber Thompson for making my vision come to life! She took thoughts that I shared and interpreted them so well to come up with this design. I wanted something simple, delicate and earthy, and where the "b" wouldn't confused as an "f" (I've been called Happy Feet a few times with my old logo 😆). I couldn't be happier with the result!

My new logo and tags have made their debut at Nourish Boutique Spa with my lavender eye pillows, and you'll see them at my first Christmas market of the season this Sunday Modern Makers Market in Peterborough! Printed on recycled paper VistaPrint and tied with recycled cotton cord Aster and Vine :)

Also, a HUGE thank you to Business & Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland for your support through the Women's Entrepreneurship Program that provided so much guidance and helped fund the cost of new branding. I am forever grateful! 💗
