These pretties were hand dyed by yours truly for the Cali blanket KAL. The pattern by Amy Christophers was highlighted in this week's Berocco newsletter. The natural colours come from exhaust dyes of logwood, marigold, eastern brazil wood, and madder. The grey was a light marigold overdyed with a quick 1 minute dip in logwood.

Added a little sari silk into today's hand spinning. I just drafted the wool & silk together a little bit at a time since I don't own a blending board. The spun single is a bit chunky and uneven but the colours are pretty.

This is my first tour de fleece and I have to say that it started out a bit rough. I'm trying out a new-to-me fiber and my goal is to attempt to learn how to get a good rhythm going on the drop spindle. I was hoping to upload a short video but my son was helping and he video'd my feet instead of the fiber 😊 Hoping for better spinning tomorrow.

Sock knitting in the harbour. Hard to concentrate on sock knitting with that gorgeous light display to look at. I was trying to use my time wisely on a recent BC Ferries trip but my attention kept being drawn towards the Schwartz Bay ferry terminal.
