Red Carpet Tailoring

Although this company is new to the Heights, Jafar Alizada is no stranger to the industry and has more than 25 years of experience as a tailor, dressmaker, and alterationist. As the owner of Red Carpet Tailoring and Alterations Inc, he offers all types of alterations for kids, women, and men. “We do ladies suits, dresses, gowns, wedding dresses, men's suits, and even leather jackets,” Jafar explains. “You name it and our business can offer that for you.”

Not only is Jafar passionate about the work he does, but he is also very proud to be a part of the green movement and doing what he can to help the environment. “Everything here is bought second hand and has a history of someone else’s happiness… Many fabrics aren’t disposable, so we are doing our part to be green by reusing our materials and will be registered as a green company here in the Heights.”

For the last eight years, his company has been exclusively working with the Vancouver film industry. He decided to open his business on the Heights in January 2019. Working in the film industry led Jafar to work with big actors and actresses of Hollywood. Jafar guarantees that "when a customer walks in here, they will get the same treatment and the same skills.”

His favourite part of the job is to see the satisfaction of his customers, which drives him and his team to go even further, improve and bring more skills to their work. He is proud to work on the Heights and loves the lively community and rich history. “It’s so nice to be a part of this community that’s always moving”
